My bot found errors running 'make DT_CHECKER_FLAGS=-m dt_binding_check'
on your patch (DT_CHECKER_FLAGS is new in v5.13):

yamllint warnings/errors:
./Documentation/devicetree/bindings/iio/frequency/adi,admv4420.yaml:13:5: [warning] wrong indentation: expected 2 but found 4 (indentation)

dtschema/dtc warnings/errors:
/builds/robherring/linux-dt-review/Documentation/devicetree/bindings/iio/frequency/adi,admv4420.example.dt.yaml: admv4420@0: adi,lo-freq-hz: 'anyOf' conditional failed, one must be fixed:
16743700000 is greater than the maximum of 4294967295
From schema: /usr/local/lib/python3.8/dist-packages/dtschema/schemas/property-units.yaml

doc reference errors (make refcheckdocs):

See https://patchwork.ozlabs.org/patch/1587310

This check can fail if there are any dependencies. The base for a patch
series is generally the most recent rc1.

If you already ran 'make dt_binding_check' and didn't see the above
error(s), then make sure 'yamllint' is installed and dt-schema is up to
date:

pip3 install dtschema --upgrade

Please check and re-submit.

Add support for K Band Downconverter with Integrated
Fractional-N PLL and VCO.

changes in v2:
- Remove 'COMMON_CLK' since is not dependent on it
- Reduce some line to maximum 80 characters
- Use bulk writes instead of 'regmap_write()' with 'FIELD_GET'
- Use generic fw properties
- Pull ternary operating out on it's own line
- Remove initialisation with 0 of local 'val' variable
- Return 'regmap_write()' directly
- Use 'dev_err_probe()' instead of 'dev_err()'
- Remove 'indio_dev->dev.parent' initialisation, automatically set

Hi Cristian,

A few comments inline.

I'm curious...
What does the _ postfix indicate here? The datasheet uses it
as well but I couldn't immediately spot and explanation.

Define a mask here and then use FIELD_PREP with that to do the
shift. Same for teh one below.

There is a fun long running discussion on whether regmap_bulk_read()
is always fine with being passed buffers that aren't DMA safe.
Last time I checked, the currently implementation probably is but
we can't rely on it staying so. So this buffer should be DMA safe which
basically means allocate it on the stack (or use the ____cache_line_aligned
marking and put it at the end of the admv4420_state structure.

These look like unaligned puts. Please use appropriate put_unaligned_xx

MICRO from units.h would work well here.

Also, why can't you just do
*val = div_u64_rem(st->lo_freq_hz, MICRO, val2); ?
If you take a look at how div_u64 is implemented it uses
div_u64_rem() anyway.

Unless I'm missing something this doesn't benefit from 64 bit maths.
I think all possible values fit in a 32 bit integer. If it needs
64 bit maths, perhaps a comment to say why would be good to have.

This could just as clearly be written as:

ret = regmap_write(st->regmap, ADMV4420_SPI_CONFIG_1,
ADMV4420_SPI_CONFIG_1_SDOACTIVE_ |
ADMV4420_SPI_CONFIG_1_SDOACTIVE |
ADMV4420_SPI_CONFIG_1_ENDIAN_ |
ADMV4420_SPI_CONFIG_1_ENDIAN);
and fit under 80 chars

You have multiple uses of indio_dev->dev.parent in here.
I suggest using a local variable.

Tidy this up. I'd rather see it aligned as

return regmap_write(st->regmap, ADMV4420_ENABLES,
ENABLE_PLL | ENABLE_LO | ENABLE_VCO |
ENABLE_IFAMP | ENABLE_MIXER | ENABLE_LNA);
so that the set of |'d values look less like different parameters.

No comma after null terminators like this. We won't ever add
a line after them.

Trivial thing but don't do table indenting link this.
As you can see clearly here it doesn't result in nice alignment
and it often ends up being a pain when some new entry requires
re-indenting all the others.
