Subject: [PATCH] x86: Kconfig: make CMDLINE_OVERRIDE depend on CMDLINE

When trying to boot an allmodconfig kernel that is build with
KCONFIG_ALLCONFIG=$(pwd)/arch/x86/configs/x86_64_defconfig, it doesn't
boot since CONFIG_CMDLINE_OVERRIDE gets enabled. Which forces the user
to pass the full cmdline to CONFIG_CMDLINE="...".

Rework so that CONFIG_CMDLINE_OVERRIDE gets set only if CONFIG_CMDLINE
is set to something except an empty string.

Hmmm, so I tried your way of building it and booting it in a guest, it
does boot here until the watchdog fires due to that tracer selftest
which gets enabled too, see below.

What it doesn't happen is that even if I have "console=ttyS0,115200
console=tty0" on the guest kernel's command line, the below doesn't get
logged to the qemu -serial file:... switch because of the command line
override. If I add the command line to CONFIG_CMDLINE - i.e., builtin -
it gets overridden and it works.

So I'm thinking your change makes sense - a cmdline should be overridden
only if there's something to be overridden with in the first place...

x86/Kconfig: Make CMDLINE_OVERRIDE depend on non-empty CMDLINE

When trying to boot an allmodconfig kernel that is built with
KCONFIG_ALLCONFIG=$(pwd)/arch/x86/configs/x86_64_defconfig, it doesn't
boot since CONFIG_CMDLINE_OVERRIDE gets enabled and that requires the
user to pass the full cmdline to CONFIG_CMDLINE.

Change so that CONFIG_CMDLINE_OVERRIDE gets set only if CONFIG_CMDLINE
is set to something except an empty string.
