Other stuff that didn't work quite that well was sound and USB, but that's probably a matter of configuration more than a kernel problem. dmesg output below if that's interesting for anyone. I'll see if I can do some more testing later this week. I wonder what I must do to get the ext3 partition mounted correctly, since after modifying grub.conf it was mounted as an ext2 partition.
