Actually, if anyone else is experiencing problems shutting down, as there have been quite a few reports in the last few days (thanks to myself and the SCSI guys), could you please do the following: - Apply both the patches mentioned in this email: http://marc.theaimsgroup.com/?l=linux-kernel&m=103522568629074&w=2 - Enable debugging in drivers/base/power.c at the top of the file by applying the patch below. - Rebuild and try again. If you're still experiencing a hang or an Oops, please report it to me and/or the list, along with your .config. Thanks, -pat ===== drivers/base/power.c 1.13 vs edited ===== --- 1.13/drivers/base/power.c Fri Oct 18 17:57:42 2002 +++ edited/drivers/base/power.c Mon Oct 21 15:33:34 2002 @@ -8,7 +8,7 @@ * */ -#define DEBUG 0 +#define DEBUG 1 #include #include - To unsubscribe from this list: send the line "unsubscribe linux-kernel" in the body of a message to majordomo@vger.kernel.org More majordomo info at http://vger.kernel.org/majordomo-info.html Please read the FAQ at http://www.tux.org/lkml/
