When I cold boot my machine with a 3c575 and a Belkin BusPort Mobile inserted in the Cardbus slots, I get the following in my kernel log: NET4: Unix domain sockets 1.0/SMP for Linux NET4.0. Yenta IRQ list 0698, PCI irq11 Socket status: 30000020 Yenta IRQ list 0698, PCI irq11 Socket status: 30000020 But, if I remove and then reinsert the cards, call_usermodehelper and /sbin/hotplug recognizes and configure both cards, including bringing up eth0. I am able to use both cards with no trouble. Now, if I warm boot the machine, the boot process completely locks up after the line: NET4: Unix domain sockets 1.0/SMP for Linux NET4.0. SysRq commands fail to respond. When I cold boot the machine, lspci -vvxxx gives: ------------------------------------ 00:04.0 CardBus bridge: Texas Instruments PCI1131 (rev 01) Subsystem: Dell Computer Corporation: Unknown device 007e Control: I/O+ Mem+ BusMaster+ SpecCycle- MemWINV- VGASnoop- ParErr- Stepping- SERR- FastB2B- Status: Cap- 66Mhz- UDF- FastB2B- ParErr- DEVSEL=medium >TAbort- SERR- Reset- 16bInt- PostWrite+ 16-bit legacy interface ports at 0001 00: 4c 10 15 ac 07 00 00 02 01 00 07 06 08 a8 82 00 10: 00 00 00 10 00 00 00 a2 00 01 01 b0 00 00 40 10 20: 00 f0 7f 10 00 00 80 10 00 f0 bf 10 00 10 00 00 30: fc 10 00 00 00 14 00 00 fc 14 00 00 ff 01 00 05 40: 28 10 7e 00 01 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 50: 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 60: 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 70: 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 80: 20 30 24 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 90: 00 3a 74 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 a0: 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 b0: 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 c0: 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 d0: 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 e0: 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 f0: 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00:04.1 CardBus bridge: Texas Instruments PCI1131 (rev 01) Subsystem: Dell Computer Corporation: Unknown device 007e Control: I/O+ Mem+ BusMaster+ SpecCycle- MemWINV- VGASnoop- ParErr- Stepping- SERR- FastB2B- Status: Cap- 66Mhz- UDF- FastB2B- ParErr- DEVSEL=medium >TAbort- SERR- Reset- 16bInt- PostWrite+ 16-bit legacy interface ports at 0001 00: 4c 10 15 ac 07 00 00 02 01 00 07 06 08 a8 82 00 10: 00 10 00 10 00 00 00 02 00 05 05 b0 00 00 c0 10 20: 00 f0 ff 10 00 00 00 11 00 f0 3f 11 00 18 00 00 30: fc 18 00 00 00 1c 00 00 fc 1c 00 00 ff 02 00 05 40: 28 10 7e 00 01 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 50: 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 60: 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 70: 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 80: 20 30 24 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 90: 00 3a 74 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 a0: 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 b0: 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 c0: 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 d0: 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 e0: 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 f0: 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 01:00.0 USB Controller: OPTi Inc. 82C861 (rev 10) (prog-if 10 [OHCI]) Subsystem: OPTi Inc.: Unknown device c861 Control: I/O- Mem+ BusMaster- SpecCycle- MemWINV- VGASnoop- ParErr- Stepping- SERR- FastB2B- Status: Cap- 66Mhz- UDF- FastB2B+ ParErr- DEVSEL=medium >TAbort- SERR- TAbort- SERR-
