For some reallife performance rather look at the SPEC numbers. Actually I don't care about the clocking of a processo= r especially when vendors are pushing it with longer pipelines as this is all marketing crap (and let's see what problems Intel will face with the Centrino architecture to tell that lower clocks might bring higher performa= nce with a different design). BTW: Distributed.net client has now an AltiVec implementation which makes a= n G4/500 eat an Athlon/1.8GHz for breakfast... --=20 Servus, Daniel --=-GIJAQ3Ba9FPiqLR7jbVW Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name=signature.asc Content-Description: Dies ist ein digital signierter Nachrichtenteil -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.1 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQA+YMBtchlzsq9KoIYRAqiMAKCLa2k0aisoXn18nVkVAe7zKlOE7QCgpZea VeGZdQUDaAsLK18A/PO3z3M= =RKZk -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --=-GIJAQ3Ba9FPiqLR7jbVW-- - To unsubscribe from this list: send the line "unsubscribe linux-kernel" in the body of a message to majordomo@vger.kernel.org More majordomo info at http://vger.kernel.org/majordomo-info.html Please read the FAQ at http://www.tux.org/lkml/
