I completely agree with this, unfirtunately, as I completely forgot to remove the kernel/drivers/media/video/videodev.o to kernels newer than 2.4.21-rc2-ac2 and as the compilation of new dvb-kernel worked perfectly for 2.4.21-rc2-ac2 I thought it was due to a change in the kernel... Sorry for the posts!!!
