They were supported in Linux 2.2 but the driver had to rely on SBE-supplied closed-source firmware which was apparently unstable in certain configurations. Therefore the old driver has never been included in Linux 2.4. This driver has been written from scratch and it contains open-source firmware for the on-board QUICC processor. Please apply.
