However, I report here the ACPI bug. When it happened that I saw by luck the bootup messages from the beginning and the crash happened, I always saw that the CPU Fan state was not recognized. ACPI printed some messages, but I newer had a chance to read them. Two screen pages later the computer locks. Needless to say, the CPU Fan was always set to it's maximum RPM and was cooling like crazy. Does that help? Please Cc: me in replies.
