Yes, that is usually how it works! The revert patch will be picked up by the maintainer (Maxime), integrated in his tree and eventually merged into Linus' tree (along with stable trees). Fixup patches for this will need to take into account the revert patch, so it becomes equivalent to submitting the same patch with that issue resolved. > Thanks in advance to everybody Cheers ! --=20 Paul Kocialkowski, Bootlin (formerly Free Electrons) Embedded Linux and kernel engineering https://bootlin.com --=-fAJmF27SYGowJCOLH8Cy Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name="signature.asc" Content-Description: This is a digitally signed message part Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- iQEzBAABCAAdFiEEJZpWjZeIetVBefti3cLmz3+fv9EFAlsiGKAACgkQ3cLmz3+f v9G0mQf/ULb339blSIkYnLow0k88c8mID4981TPKLS5xBO76sff54JRC8LS2akuh +e1WQcwb9BI0N3quUuUyyMwrlyH1aNzQOdo0VkGo5XdotNR62ZZBR3X6W2OTdeTs DipI6jB0rtAq4EbL6ZE0BnbZVZl58Hf+0OtmiAF4RsXqDHrgkEQ688Ixcn219dn5 738fJdggyTxO2SdXisQOELnKDEZ7zRvVEpzxUDEryW4IisfGszt8VlPMxgfAy5l5 5AI5jAS/BFFccDGlUfk18KsqXvfS3k4mZeV/+2PB7Lhv2jA7CdxzhsOo0dybgoRj 29DHuPCcECI+XrcVEbxk10ROcUx7aQ== =Vo1P -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --=-fAJmF27SYGowJCOLH8Cy--
