I also looked in the Doc directory for my 2.2.12 kernel with no luck either. I've purchased the only one I could find at the comp-usa near me (Maxtor) and their web site doesn't even tell me what chipset it uses. I wanted to verify that it will work before I open it up, or they won't take it back for a refund. Next I searched the linux-kernel archives for maxtor, and saw some things about disks, but nothing about the controller, so I guess it has never come up??? Where am I supposed to find this kind of information? thanks, -chuck -- ACCEL Services, Inc.| Specialists in Gravity, Magnetics | 1(713)993-0671 ph. 1980 Post Oak Blvd. | and Integrated Interpretation | 1(713)960-1157 fax Suite 2050 | | Houston, TX, 77056 | Chuck Campbell | campbell@neosoft.com | President & Senior Geoscientist | "Integration means more than having all the maps at the same scale!" - To unsubscribe from this list: send the line "unsubscribe linux-kernel" in the body of a message to majordomo@vger.kernel.org More majordomo info at http://vger.kernel.org/majordomo-info.html Please read the FAQ at http://www.tux.org/lkml/
