The past two nights in a row (I created the raid array on Sunday) system backups or updatedb processes get hung accessing /export/home. Since this is a frequently accessed directory, basically all of the processes on the system eventually get hung requiring a reboot by sysrq. I manually fscked both /export/home and / and both are fine after reboot. The kernel is 2.6.7-rc3-bk4 with 2 patches: http://www.uwsg.iu.edu/hypermail/linux/kernel/0406.1/0996.html http://www.uwsg.iu.edu/hypermail/linux/kernel/0406.1/0889.html The raid array and PV/VG/LVs were created under 2.6.5 with the 32/64 dm-ioctl.h patch (this is a 64-bit machine with a 32-bit userspace). Please let me know if any other information would help in tracking this down, I am *very* eager to get this fixed...
