Lots of small cleanups, although that inevitable qlogic firmware update makes pretty much _everything_ look small in comparison. SCSI, USB, IDE, x86-64, FRV, PPC64, ARM, input layer, ALSA, network drivers, pcmcia, knfsd, ACPI, sparse cleanups... You name it. Lots of (mostly) small updates all over the landscape. What gets hidden in the noise of all the updates is things like the conversion to 4-level page tables by Andi Kleen and Nick Piggin. That makes us able to use the full virtual memory space on 64-bit architectures. The patches may not be very large, and in fact it was interesting to see just how smoothly it seems to integrate. This way hardware drivers can be unloaded at any time. o Input: when creating input devices for hardware attached to a serio port properly set input_device->dev pointer so when corresponding class device is created it will show proper links to parent device and driver in sysfs hierarchy. o Input: i8042 - allow turning debugging on and off "on-fly" so people do not have to recompile their kernels to provide debug info. o Input: i8042 - get rid of old style power management handler since APM calls both pm_send and device_suspend. o Input: i8042 - get rid of reboot notifier as suspend method should do the job. o Input: get rid of pm_dev in input core as it is deprecated and nothing uses it anyway. o Input: gscps2 - remove unused statically allocated gscps2_serio_port variable as the port is allocated dynamically. o Input: parkbd - switch to using module_param. Parameter names are parkbd.port and parkbd.mode o Input: i8042 - fix "debug" parameter sysfs permissions Domen Puncer: o it87: /proc/ioports fix o JFS: delete unused file o MTD: Remove gratuitous (void *) casts o arm26: Remove unreferenced file o hotplug/acpiphp_ibm: module_param fix o fs/proc/base.c: array size o fs/proc/proc_tty.c: avoid array o remove unused drivers/char/rio/cdproto.h o remove unused drivers/char/rsf16fmi.h o ppc64: semicolon in rtasd.c Dominik Brodowski: o cpufreq 2.4 interface removal schedule o pcmcia: new ds - cs interface o pcmcia: call device drivers from ds, not from cs o pcmcia: unify bind_mtd and pcmcia_bind_mtd o pcmcia: unfiy bind_device and pcmcia_bind_device o pcmcia: device model integration can only be submitted under GPL o pcmcia: add pcmcia_device(s) o pcmcia: remove socket_bind_t, use pcmcia_devices instead o pcmcia: remove internal module use count, use module_refcount instead o pcmcia: set driver's .owner field o pcmcia: move pcmcia_(un,)register_client to ds o pcmcia: device model integration can only be submitted under GPL, part 2 o pcmcia: use kref instead of native atomic counter o pcmcia: add pcmcia_(put,get)_socket o pcmcia: grab a reference to the cs-socket in ds o pcmcia: get a reference to ds-socket for each pcmcia_device o pcmcia: add a pointer to client in struct pcmcia_device o pcmcia: use pcmcia_device in send_event o pcmcia: use pcmcia_device to mark clients as stale o pcmcia: code moving in ds o pcmcia: use pcmcia_device in register_client o pcmcia: direct-ordered unbind of devices o pcmcia: BUG on dev_list != NULL o pcmcia: BUG() if clients are kept too long o pcmcia: move struct client_t inside struct pcmcia_device o pcmcia: use driver_find in ds o pcmcia: SET_NETDEV for network devices o pcmcia: SET_NETDEV for wireless network devices o pcmcia: reduce stack usage in ds_ioctl (Randy Dunlap) o pcmcia: rename PCMCIA devices o pcmcia: remove obsolete code o pcmcia: remove pending_events o pcmcia: remove client_attributes o pcmcia: remove unneeded parameter from rsrc_mgr o pcmcia: remove dev_info from client o pcmcia: remove mtd and bulkmem (replaced by pcmciamtd) o pcmcia: per-socket resource database o pcmcia: validate_mem only for non-statically mapped sockets o pcmcia: adjust_io_region only for non-statically mapped sockets o pcmcia: find_io_region only for non-statically mapped sockets o pcmcia: find_mem_region only for non-statically mapped sockets o pcmcia: adjust_ and release_resources only for non-statically mapped sockets o pcmcia: move resource handling code only for non-statically mapped sockets to other file o pcmcia: make rsrc_nonstatic an independend module o pcmcia: allocate resource database per-socket o pcmcia: remove typedef o pcmcia: grab lock in resource_release o pcmcia: yenta override to re-allocate resources Douglas Gilbert: o scsi_debug v 1.75 o SCSI: updates to constants.c o SCSI: descriptor sense format, mid-level Duncan Sands: o usb atm: macro consolidation, fixes debugging problem Ed L. Having removed that use from the gss code, it's time to remove all references to it. o RPCSEC_GSS: Miscellaneous cleanup of auth_gss.c: we're passing something as a void * when we know perfectly well what it is.
