It is for a Home theater PC, (dmesg output at bottom). I am using the ivtv drivers for the MPEG2 card as well as lirc and the realtime module. I am also using dm striping across two ide disks on a Promise TX133 and using NFSv3 to share that storage. I have been working on this for a few weeks trying noapic, nolapic, acpi=off, various bios options, (bios is at the latest level), etc. with no success. I have tried two brand new sticks of ram with the same results. The Oopsen come at random times but seem more likely when both the ivtv and bttv cards are going at the same time. Do these oopsen point to a kernel problem or should I go get another motherboard? (non-nforce!) 0000:00:00.0 Host bridge: nVidia Corporation nForce2 AGP (different version?)
