The problem does not start right away after I boot, it takes around 5 or 10 minutes to show up (with both options). Right now I'm not getting frequent screen blank due to the screensaver and I'm typing this without autorepeats, don't know for how long :-) I left this running for a while: #!/bin/bash while true ; do START=`date +"%s"` sleep 10 END=`date +"%s"` let DIFF=END-START echo "$DIFF" >>time echo "---" done I'm attaching what I found when I got back. -- Fernando --=-s7aAMRK++tfwFIXUxjNz Content-Disposition: attachment; filename=time Content-Type: text/plain; name=time; charset=ISO-8859-1 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit 1 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 6 0 0 0 10 10 10 10 10 11 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 8 10 10 10 10 4 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 -4388 2 10 10 10 10 5 10 10 10 10 11 4 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 5 4 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 6 10 8 0 10 1 10 10 10 10 5 10 10 10 6 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 74 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 98 10 10 10 10 5 10 10 10 -4388 10 10 10 134 10 10 10 5 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 2 10 10 10 10 10 10 1 5 10 10 10 10 10 0 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 0 1 10 10 10 10 10 10 4 10 10 5 10 10 10 2 10 10 8 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 5 8 10 10 10 4408 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 4408 10 10 10 10 10 6 7 0 10 3 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 3 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 1 0 10 9 5 0 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 11 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 11 9 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 11 10 10 11 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 11 10 11 9 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 11 9 10 10 9 9 11 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 9 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 11 11 10 10 10 11 10 10 10 11 9 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 11 11 10 10 11 11 9 10 10 9 11 11 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 11 11 10 10 11 11 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 9 10 10 10 9 10 10 10 9 9 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 11 9 10 9 10 9 11 9 11 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 --=-s7aAMRK++tfwFIXUxjNz-- - To unsubscribe from this list: send the line "unsubscribe linux-kernel" in the body of a message to majordomo@vger.kernel.org More majordomo info at http://vger.kernel.org/majordomo-info.html Please read the FAQ at http://www.tux.org/lkml/
