The problem is that the large system has a gcc that is too old to do KCSAN, and the system with a newer gcc has only 12 CPUs, and would thus need to run for about a week and a half to have a 50% chance of catching an actual failure. At some point, I install a newer gcc on the large system, but I need to do bulk testing to confirm/invalidate my guesses as to what Kconfig options and kernel versions are needed to trigger this bug.
