That can be tricky if the other end of /dev/ttyS0 is plugged into a debug= ging serial port on an embedded system where you don't have easy access to a s= hell. Or for that matter, if you're trying to talk to the serial port on a non-= embedded system, which is too far into OOM thrashing for you to be able to get a usable shell prompt..... --==_Exmh_1148916899_3031P Content-Type: application/pgp-signature -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.3 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Exmh version 2.5 07/13/2001 iD8DBQFEexSjcC3lWbTT17ARAiBJAKCbm57XLXb3bRD/ok50jDW+yu+ycACeOwDh w9NQ6osNSpYEP/mNlKfF6q8= =wukj -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --==_Exmh_1148916899_3031P-- - To unsubscribe from this list: send the line "unsubscribe linux-kernel" in the body of a message to majordomo@vger.kernel.org More majordomo info at http://vger.kernel.org/majordomo-info.html Please read the FAQ at http://www.tux.org/lkml/
