Does the amount of CPU threads matter? Why doesn't vm.min_free_kbytes really help yet? Why doesn't the kernel simply use a bit of the unused memory? Why isn't the mm infrastructure not so 'automagic' as it once appeared? Please explain as it might help to fix the allocation issue.
