Sync objects are shared using file descriptor (FD) handles. The name "NT handle" is used to be compatible with Windows implementation. An FD handle is created by the LX_DXSHAREOBJECTS ioctl. The created FD handle could be sent to another process using any Linux API. To use a shared sync object in other ioctls, the object needs to be opened using its FD handle. A sync object is opened by the LX_DXOPENSYNCOBJECTFROMNTHANDLE2 ioctl, which returns a d3dkmthandle value.
