First of all, the port to which the newly bound subdev is attached is available in the stfcamss_async_subdev structure. You can cast the asd to a stfcamss_async_subdev with container_of(), access the port number from there, and get the corresponding sink subdev and pad (for the DVP or CSI-2 port). Then, I think you can use v4l2_create_fwnode_links_to_pad(), which will search for the source pad in the source subdev, instead of doing it yourself.
