I've a box with ICH4 Chipset. The ttyS2 and ttyS3 are conneted to the irq 10. After startup the box and using udev the module 8250.ko and 8250_pnp.ko are loaded. I've tested with the 2.6.22.1 kernel. cat /proc/tty/driver/serial 0: uart:16550A port:000003F8 irq:4 tx:0 rx:0 1: uart:16550A port:000002F8 irq:3 tx:0 rx:0 2: uart:16550A port:000003E8 irq:10 tx:0 rx:0 CTS|DSR 3: uart:16550A port:000002E8 irq:10 tx:0 rx:0 CTS|DSR 4: uart:16550A port:000004F8 irq:10 tx:0 rx:0 5: uart:16550A port:000004E8 irq:10 tx:0 rx:0 6: uart:unknown port:00000000 irq:0 7: uart:unknown port:00000000 irq:0 when I user ttyS2 and ttyS3 seperatly it work's. When I use the ttyS2 and ttyS3 in the same time: ttyS3 generates Interrupts ttyS2 not. I've tested with the follow sequences: ( for i in `seq 1 20` ; do printf "%x 01234567890123456\n" $i; sleep 2; done; ) > /dev/ttyS3 and ( for i in `seq 1 10` ; do printf "%x 01234567890123456\r\n" $i; done;) > /dev/ttyS2 in the same time. The output-sequence ist first the ttyS3 output then the ttyS2 output with a 2 second stepping. I've make debug outputs for serial_in and serial_out, and I cann see that ttyS2 generates no interrupts. When I cancel the ttyS3 script the output fron ttyS2 are without delay's. When I reload the 8250_pnp.ko module it works. When I disable acpi, the serial ports are not found. Has anyware the same Problem?
