I can't apply your combined patch: ftp://ftp.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/people/akpm/patches/2.6/2.6.24-rc3/2.6.24-rc3-mm1/2.6.24-rc3-mm1.bz2 to Linus's GIT tree. Quite a few errors occur. Do you just use Linus's released tarball as a base?
