Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii; format=flowed Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Sender: linux-kernel-owner@vger.kernel.org X-Mailing-List: linux-kernel@vger.kernel.org I don't understand it! I cannot seem to get the modules to compile on my box! Every time I modify the config to make something compile NOT as a module, the make breaks somewhere else! ARRRRGHHH! The lay of the land: gcc-cpp-2.96-0.76mdk gcc-2.96-0.76mdk gcc-c++-2.96-0.76mdk libgcc3.0-3.0.4-2mdk I can do a "make bzImage" and that compiles just fine: >>>SNIP tools/build -b bbootsect bsetup compressed/bvmlinux.out CURRENT > bzImage Root device is (8, 21) Boot sector 512 bytes. Setup is 4796 bytes. System is 718 kB make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/linux-2.4.18-6mdk/arch/i386/boot' [root@pluto linux]# Then when I get to making the modules...
