Most of these systems are new, so this patch turns on "pci=use_crs" only on machines with a BIOS date of 2010 or newer. In addition, it whitelists a few older machines that are known to benefit. We previously turned on "pci=use_crs" by default on *all* machines (9e9f46c44e48), but had to revert that because of problems such as Larry Finger's: http://lkml.org/lkml/2009/6/23/715. I think the problem Larry saw was caused by overflowing the pci_bus resource table.
