Run 'make oldconfig && make prepare' on kernel src to fix it. that diagnostic seems inaccurate in two ways. first, "make oldconfig" is unnecessarily specific -- it should really just say, "you must configure your kernel source first." and second, "make prepare" should really say "make modules_prepare", should it not? anyone mind if i submit a patch? rday -- ======================================================================== Robert P.
