Return-Path: Received: from mx142.netapp.com ([216.240.21.19]:26110 "EHLO mx142.netapp.com" rhost-flags-OK-OK-OK-OK) by vger.kernel.org with ESMTP id S1757178AbbCEQGK convert rfc822-to-8bit (ORCPT ); Thu, 5 Mar 2015 11:06:10 -0500 From: Anna Schumaker To: , CC: Subject: [PATCH v3] NFS: Don't zap caches on fallocate() Date: Thu, 5 Mar 2015 11:06:06 -0500 Message-ID: <1425571566-3117-1-git-send-email-Anna.Schumaker@Netapp.com> MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=US-ASCII Sender: linux-nfs-owner@vger.kernel.org List-ID: This patch adds a GETATTR to the end of ALLOCATE and DEALLOCATE operations so we can set the updated inode size and change attribute directly. DEALLOCATE will still need to release pagecache pages, so nfs42_proc_deallocate() now calls truncate_pagecache_range() before contacting the server.
