I prefer the vanilla kernels with gentoo... don't know why. But they work well (on my systems at least). I don't know what patches are in this kernel, you can check the ebuild and try to find out :) using a vanilla with mh1 makes error tracking simpler, because if there are no other patches in the kernel nobody will scream "try the vanilla first..." ;) best regards, ~ Lars - -- Lars Grunewaldt * software development * multimedia design skills: C/C++/Java/PHP/(X)HTML/Flash/audio/video web: http://www.dark-reality.de mail: lgw@dark-reality.de -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.3 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Thunderbird - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFB7nwJQWC6DTWkDAoRArQpAJ4or2rnd0D1rqyV5QxI26KEEb8WjACfZEXu XGvoUXsAIyixk5Wz8yM9tFU= =Fqe/ -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- ------------------------------------------------------- The SF.Net email is sponsored by: Beat the post-holiday blues Get a FREE limited edition SourceForge.net t-shirt from ThinkGeek.
