I'm a little hesitent about compiling software because: 1 - I'm a nurse, not a computer programmer --- I wouldn't know where to start. 2 - I use GNOME, so I imagine there would be a lot of new packages to incorporate (KDE?) 3 - When it comes to Linux, what is "simple enough" on an x86 desktop might not be simple on a PowerPC laptop 4 - It seems to be a lot of work to find a class code that might not even be the problem I have spent too much time on this problem already. I'm beginning to lose faith in Linux for "users" like me Cheers Gary --- Thomas Chiverton wrote: > On Tuesday 30 Mar 2004 11:56 am, you said: > > appear to be available for Debian PowerPC.
