Bluez bug? Configuration Problem? Vmware > Restrictions? or what else? maybe the ISOC transfers are not working perfect within VMware. You can disable them with isoc=0 when loading hci_usb. And you should try a newer kernel. Check out 2.6.10-mh2 or 2.6.11-rc2.
