Yes, that would be a good solution. I know a lot of people who are going continue to stick with madwifi if they won't be able to use turbo mode with ath5k. Since quite a few of those people are using OpenWrt, it would also mean that I would have to continue to maintain my madwifi semi-fork in OpenWrt even longer, and I definitely want to avoid that. - Felix
