Can you please download http://intellinuxwireless.org/iwlwifi/downloads/iwlwifi-5000-ucode-8.83.5.1-1.tar.gz and check what is the diff with your version ? ISTR that the only difference was that the previous version was accidentally packaged as supporting two virtual interfaces, which isn't true. johannes
