The HT operation element is not a part of the ieee80211_sta. some of the parameters like HT protection bit in the HT operation element might be relevant for driver use. Also, when 11ac is incorporated, some settings such as channel width in the VHT operation element may be relevant for the driver use. should ieee80211_sta structure contain the operation elements for HT now and also for VHT later? can some one kindly help in throwing more light on the matter ? thanks in advance best regards Vivek
