I just leave the patches open in patchwork and start processing them once the tree is open again. So feel free to submit patches at any time, just try to document clearly[1] if the patch is an important fix for the current release. [1] "[PATCH 4.10]" in the title is the preferred method for marking a fix for current -rc release. -- Kalle Valo
