Sunday night i ended up rebooting into the 4.4-79 kernel because the 4.13 just got too ridiculous. I.e. I just managed to patch the 5.1.30 dkms package so i wouldn't need to update to virtualbox-5.2. Here are the results with the 4.14-rc7 kernel.
