[1.] Lenovo SL510 will not resume from suspend
[2.] When using the following three steps to suspend the laptop the will
not resume from suspend. The suspend light flash rapidly instead of slowly.
1. systemctl suspend
2. closing the laptop lid
3. selecting suspend from the desktop gui

You can use git bisect to trace back to where this broke. It will help
pin-pointing the right people to contact, and it may give a clue about
what fixes this.
That said, maybe "[BUG] i915: suspend by closing Laptop lid broken"
[1] is the same problem as yours.
