kernel panic while copying files
[2.] Full description of the problem/report:
When I copy a 450 MB file from one partition (/usr) to another (/tmp) I
get a kernel panic. It happens everytime I copy that file. The amount
of data copied before the kernel panic is not always the same. These
two partitions use ext2fs.

I would like to use newer kernels since I want to add XFS support (SGI's

even with kernel that have not had the XFS patch applied.

resolving this panic until you send the oops message passed through
ksymoops. If this is really a panic and not an oops then you need to
capture it through a serial console and then pass through ksymoops on the
next boot.
