Subject: iwlwifi (ipw3945) in compat-wireless

on my 2.6.24 kernel, the compat wireless versions of 26.03.2008 and 27.
leading to absoulutely unusable wireless (scanning is unavailable so no
authentication could be performed) followed by system hangs/crashes.
