Subject: kernel-2.4.18-pre6 not booting

While trying to upgrade to this kernel it fails to boot on my PII 440bx
system saying 'interrupt not syncing'.

I'm running my old kernel 2.4.18-pre1.

Could you try and capture the oops text somehow? Even hand copied will
suffice.
