Subject: SCSI HD not seen on 2.6.1-mm1 and other 2.6.x

Hi !

I'm using 2.6.1-mm1 right now, and have used most of the 2.6.x[-mmX] and
none of the have seen my SCSI drive correctly (as in 2.4.x) using
aic7xxx, havent tryed the old driver, but i dont think it's a good
solution, isnt it ?. cdrecord gives this:

$ cdrecord -scanbus
Cdrecord-Clone 2.01a23 (i686-pc-linux-gnu) Copyright (C) 1995-2003 J?rg
Schilling
Linux sg driver version: 3.5.30
Using libscg version 'schily-0.7'.

wich is correct, but look at this:

$ ll /dev/scsi/host0/bus0/target0/lun0/
total 0
crw-rw---- 1 max cdrw 21, 0 Dec 31 1969 generic

The partitions are not beeing seen, actually, this HD has only a hda1
with NTFS, and any 2.4.x actually saw it like that.

This leads to not being able to mount the drive, and if I run lilo from
this kernel it will send an error on the winxp part of the config.

I'm using the ide-scsi module because without it I cant see my CD-RW,
but the drive is not well resolved either ( without the module).

Any help on tracing this will be appreciated :-)
