Subject: [BUG] 2.4.7-ac1 HPT370 lost interruprt(s)

Hi all,

after upgrading to Epox EP-D3VA dual cpu VIA PRO133 based motherboard i have
a problem with the onboard HPT370 IDE controller. I have 2 HD connected to
southebridge's IDE ports and old HD and CDROM connected to HPT370
(yes, this configuration is strange :)

When kernel (2.4.7, 2.4.7-ac1) tries to read partition table from /dev/hdg
(HD connected to HPT370) it pauses, prints some messages 'hdg: lost interrupts'
and finally reads the partition table. /proc/interrupts shows that no interrupts
from HPT370 where occured. BOTH SMP and UP compiled kernel affected.

IMHO it's not hardware problem, because Win98 works with both HPT370 connected
HD and CDROM.

Additional information attached. I'm ready to provide more info and test patches
if they will appear.

Best regards.
