This oops is from booting a RH 7.2 system after installing 2.4.14 +
ext3.

Reading specs from /usr/lib/gcc-lib/i386-redhat-linux/egcs-2.91.66/specs
gcc version egcs-2.91.66 19990314/Linux (egcs-1.1.2 release)
This is an Athlon system, but I compiled a 386 kernel, for use in
another device.

More info:
using uhci.o rather than usb-uhci.o results in no oops, but loop.o has
unresolved symbols and NFS does not work -- the boot process hangs on
"mounting NFS filesystems."
No 2.4.14 for me.

Can you try 2.4.15-pre4? This problem should be fixed in that version.
