Subject: Configure.help missing entries list

It's down to 145 entries from 167 last week, thanks mostly to David Woodhouse
documenting the new MTD symbols. Please do what you can to empty this list
by sending me help entries.

Certainly one of the chief guarantees of freedom under any government,
no matter how popular and respected, is the right of the citizens to
keep and bear arms. [...] the right of the citizens to bear arms is
just one guarantee against arbitrary government and one more safeguard
against a tyranny which now appears remote in America, but which
historically has proved to be always possible.

You missed three that I sent you before. If you don't like my version of
CONFIG_MEMORY_SET I'm sure you can come up with a new one - but the other
two ought to be acceptable.

Physical memory size
CONFIG_MEMORY_SIZE
This sets the default memory size assumed by your SH kernel. It can
be overridden as normal by the 'mem=' argument on the kernel command
line. If unsure, consult your board specifications or just leave it
as 0x00400000 which was the default value before this became
configurable.

Darkness
CONFIG_MEMORY_SET
This is an option about which you will never be asked a question.
Therefore, I conclude that you do not exist - go away.

There is a grue here.

Cache and PCI noncoherent
CONFIG_SH_PCIDMA_NONCOHERENT
Enable this option if your platform does not have a CPU cache which
remains coherent with PCI DMA. It is safest to say 'Y', although you
will see better performance if you can say 'N', because the PCI DMA
code will not have to flush the CPU's caches. If you have a PCI host
bridge integrated with your SH CPU, refer carefully to the chip specs
to see if you can say 'N' here. Otherwise, leave it as 'Y'.

That's odd. I have all three of these. I wonder why they showed up in the
`missing' list? I'll look into this...

Under democracy one party always devotes its chief energies
to trying to prove that the other party is unfit to rule--and
both commonly succeed, and are right... The United States
has never developed an aristocracy really disinterested or an
intelligentsia really intelligent. Its history is simply a record
of vacillations between two gangs of frauds.

Got it. I missed those three because they're not actually used in CML1
config files yet. I was using

scrips/kxref.py -f "a&~h&~x"

to generate the missing report.

In the absence of any evidence tending to show that possession
or use of a 'shotgun having a barrel of less than eighteen inches
in length' at this time has some reasonable relationship to the
preservation or efficiency of a well regulated militia, we cannot
say that the Second Amendment guarantees the right to keep and bear
such an instrument. [...] The Militia comprised all males
physically capable of acting in concert for the common defense.

Ignore these for now. The code isn't in the tree yet anyhow. I'll send
in help entries when I send in the code too.

Motorola releases microcode updates for their 8xx CPM modules. The
microcode update file has updates for IIC, SMC and USB. Currently only
the USB update is available by default, if the MPC8xx USB option is
enabled. If in doubt, say 'N' here.

And yes, the USB driver isn't in the tree yet either.
