Subject: no DMA on 2.4.20-pre1 on ICH4 (2.4.19-rc*-ac* did)

Hello,

having see that the pre1 include a big AC merge, I have tried it. For me
it's unusable:

Uniform Multi-Platform E-IDE driver Revision: 6.31
ide: Assuming 33MHz system bus speed for PIO modes; override with
idebus=xx
ICH4: IDE controller on PCI bus 00 dev f9
PCI: Device 00:1f.1 not available because of resource collisions
ICH4: (ide_setup_pci_device:) Could not enable device.
hda: IC35L120AVVA07-0, ATA DISK drive

Any hope to include that in pre2?

Thank you very much,

Gr?goire

Maybe pre3/pre4. pre2 will have some other stuff that is also important
and affects the IDE merge. The IDE stuff has a couple of bits I want to
pin down as well.

For most cases if I push Marcelo the pci interface changes that ought to
fix things.

Great, and in the meantime, the 2.4.19-*-ac* works just great
(2.4.20-pre1-ac1 didn't compil, and I don't see the bug report on the ml
I think I have sent: I should have done a bad manipulation to that
email...).

Thank you very much and have a great day,

Gr?goire

As far as I remember (home computer...) it was apm.c which don't compil
on UP (I got a P4). I can do it again tonight ;-)
