That with my ZIP 250 on a MSI Max2-BLR mother board...
Otherwise, it seems to works pretty good ;-)

ide_tcq_intr_timeout with a ZIP disk? Oh my.

CONFIG_BLK_DEV_IDE_TCQ ?

Hi,

Don't compile TCQ support in.
What do you have on hda and hdb?

I'll recompil without TCQ: thank you very much for the info!!!

Thanks for report.

Jens, can you comment on this issue. TCQ shouldn't be enabled
when there is other device on a channel?

Correct, that needs a check. It should work, but is far from optimal
both from the software and hardware point of view... So I'd much rather
just keep TCQ enabled only on a single drive on a channel. That way I
don't have to deal with the ide tcq stupidities.

Well, I don't know if it's better without TCQ:

May 11 15:12:39 localhost kernel: hdb: DMA interrupt recovery
May 11 15:12:39 localhost kernel: hdb: lost interrupt
May 11 15:14:02 localhost kernel: hdb: DMA interrupt recovery
May 11 15:14:02 localhost kernel: hdb: lost interrupt

It smells fishy. Does the zip usually work as slave with that drive as
master? IOW, what is your typical working config (kernel)?

As DVD writting is broken in 2.5, I am usualy under 2.4, and before
2.4.21-rc1-ac3 I was using ide-scsi (ide-scsi wasn't working with
2.4.21-rc1-ac3), but yes, no problem sofar ;-)

Does IOW mean In Other Word?

I have put my config in http://ulima.unil.ch/greg/linux/ or directly:
http://ulima.unil.ch/greg/linux/2.4.21-rc1-ac3-config
http://ulima.unil.ch/greg/linux/2.5.69-config

Thank you very much,

Gr?goire
