Hi guys
Recently i tried to compile 2.4.24+grsec kernel.
I am getting error:
/usr/src/linux-2.4.24/arch/i386/vmlinux.lds:116 invalid assignment to location
counter
Generated vmlinux.lds and config is attached.

This does not belong on this list unless you get the same problem with a
clean vanilla kernel.

Don't think so.
Anyway, it looks like bug in debian stable binutils/gcc. Well, I forgot to
mention that it was woody. It does recompile fine on unstable.

Not true. This is the problem with grsecurity patch. Go and read their
archives. Or read this:

It's a problem with the grsecurity patch., not the kernel, and should really
be on a grsecurity mailling list. However, I can tell you that it works
properly if you use stock kernel 2.4.24 with the grsecurity
1.9.13-2.4.23.patch.
cheers
