The source code for the module adding realtime functionality to Linux 2.4; at
least at the time I downloaded it, that source was not available.

No. This is a real issue, Timesys has been violating the GPL all the time
with their 2.4 based offerings. I still haven't found a european distributor
I could easily sue for it, though.
