Subject: [GIT PATCH] USB patches for 2.6.18

Here are a bunch of USB patches for 2.6.18. They include some new USB
drivers, a bunch of new device ids added, and some reworks in order to
get ready for the autosuspend work (which is not included yet). There
are a lot of compiler warnings also fixed, along with some other minor
tweaks and bugfixes.

All of these changes have been in the -mm tree for a while.

Please pull from:
master.kernel.org:/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/gregkh/usb-2.6.git/

The full patches will be sent to the linux-usb-devel mailing list, if
anyone wants to see them.

thanks,

greg k-h

Another example of a bug for which the fix hasn't yet gone upstream to
Linus. The -mm kernel should work. It you want to apply the fix
yourself, it's these two patches:

http://marc.theaimsgroup.com/?l=linux-usb-devel&m=115921335306280&w=2

Greg, can we please feed fixes to me faster?

Faster? My god man, I just found out a few minutes ago that these were
causing problems for people. I had only applied them to my local tree
about 12 hours ago :)

Give me a bit, I'll have them ready for you to pull from...

Umm. I'm just saying that that fix was apparently sent to the
linux-usb-devel people two days _before_ I even merged the USB changes..

Or did I misunderstand?

Sorry, no, I misunderstood and had missed the patch and didn't realize
that it was necessary for this series. I've now queued up another tree
of stuff that I had missed, and a bunch of new device ids.

Greg,

There is nothing in this driver that would relate to input subsystem,
can it be moved into drivers/usb/misc?

Hm, good point, I'll move it in the next round of USB patches, thanks
for pointing it out.
