This is probably fixed in current linux-2.6 tree, and 2.6.39.1 as well
If not, maybe commit 64f3b9e203b (ip_expire() must revalidate route)
needs to be included in 2.6.39.X
(I believe Greg took it for 2.6.38, but cant find it in 2.6.39 ?)

Not resolved, so should still be listed.
Changes since last test:
KDE-Version += 0.0.1 == 4.6.3
Only changes color/form of visible corruption, does not change X11 hang
With 2.6.39.1, leaving fullscreen XV creates heavy corruption, closing
mplayer lets X11 hang. Machine still alive, can be remote rebooted,
this makes it to the logs:

With 3.0.0-rc2+ (git from hour ago), leaving fullscreen XV creates
heavy corruption, closing mplayer lets X11 "half-hang" (unusable, but
could switch to console, this is new), any other draw (opening the
KDE.Menu) lets it totally hang, machine still alive, could be remote
rebooted, this makes it to the logs:

Yes it should. And there's nobody actively working on it yet it seems.

Did you ever bisect this issue? As Chris says it sounds like an EDID
problem; we detect the outputs and attach some modes, but they sound
like the wrong ones for your config. Maybe we broke EDID fetching for
your config?

Possibly more DPMS confusion; Chris what's the latest on that?
rocko, did you ever bisect this to a particular commit (sounds like
between .38 and .39)?

I will try bisection at the weekend (maybe earlier if I have more free time).

Result of bisection:
8f9a3f9b63b8cd3f03be9dc53533f90bd4120e5f is the first bad commit
commit 8f9a3f9b63b8cd3f03be9dc53533f90bd4120e5f

With the recent SDVO fix, this is working on all the machines I have to
hand - except for an 845G.
