Subject: [PATCH v5 0/6] Move rest of omap-iommu to live in drivers/iommu

Hi all,

Resending again, now using the updated email address
for Joerg.

We need to move the iommu code to live under drivers
for arm common zImage support.

Regards,

Tony

Subject: [PATCH 1/6] ARM: OMAP: Merge iommu2.h into iommu.h

From: Ido Yariv <[email protected]>

Since iommu is not supported on OMAP1 and will not likely to ever be
supported, merge plat/iommu2.h into iommu.h so only one file would have
to move to platform_data/ as part of the single zImage effort.

Subject: [PATCH 3/6] ARM: OMAP2+: Move plat/iovmm.h to include/linux/omap-iommu.h

Looks like the iommu framework does not have generic functions
exported for all the needs yet. The hardware specific functions
are defined in files like intel-iommu.h and amd-iommu.h. Follow
the same standard for omap-iommu.h.

This is needed because we are removing plat and mach includes
for ARM common zImage support. Further work should continue
in the iommu framework context as only pure platform data will
be communicated from arch/arm/*omap*/* code to the iommu
framework.

Subject: [PATCH 4/6] ARM: OMAP2+: Move iommu2 to drivers/iommu/omap-iommu2.c

This file should not be in arch/arm. Move it to drivers/iommu
to allow making most of the header local to drivers/iommu.

This is needed as we are removing plat and mach includes
from drivers for ARM common zImage support.

Subject: [PATCH 2/6] ARM: OMAP2+: Move iopgtable header to drivers/iommu/

From: Ido Yariv <[email protected]>

The iopgtable header file is only used by the iommu & iovmm drivers, so
move it to drivers/iommu/, as part of the single zImage effort.

For the iommu changes in the entire series:

Acked-by: Ohad Ben-Cohen <[email protected]>

Joerg, it might relieve some pain if this will go through Tony's tree,
as there are some OMAP platform iommu changes coming in from Omar as
well (part of which might have already been merged in the omap
branches). Hope it's ok with both of you guys?

Omar, do you still have any iommu changes coming in ? Can we get
everything merged to the same tree ?

Thanks!
Ohad.

Yes, I have the hwmod and runtime pm changes for iommu, I was waiting
for Tony to publish a branch with these changes to submit (as per
Tony's suggestion), but I already have the patches rebased onto these.

I will submit them.

Cheers,

Omar

Assuming Joerg is OK with these changes, I can push them into
an immutable branch that Joerg can merge in as needed.

Further patches on top of this series can then be queued by
Joerg as arch/arm/*omap* and me are then out of the way of
iommu development.

Regards,

Tony

Okay, from my side:

Acked-by: Joerg Roedel <[email protected]>

Please let me know which branch I need to pull into my tree when you
merged these patches.

Thanks, I've pushed it out to omap-for-v3.8/cleanup-headers-iommu at
git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/tmlind/linux-omap.git
so you can merge it into the iommu tree.

Tony
