5.10-stable review patch. If anyone has any objections, please let me know.
------------------
From: Zack Rusin <[email protected]>
commit a37ef7613c00f2d72c8fc08bd83fb6cc76926c8c upstream.
Correctly set the length of the drm_event to the size of the structure
that's actually used.
The length of the drm_event was set to the parent structure instead of
to the drm_vmw_event_fence which is supposed to be read. drm_read
uses the length parameter to copy the event to the user space thus
resuling in oob reads.

Stephen said in a message that this depends on other patches,
including 9d1e795f754d clk: Get runtime PM before walking tree for
clk_summary. But we don't seem to have that one. Can you double-check?

Ugh, please use lore links when referring to other threads so that we
don't have to figure it out on our own...
Anyway, that one commit seems missing, I'll look into it.

And I know you mean well, but if you had looked at it, you would have
seen that that commit isn't relevant at all to this kernel branch, which
is why it is not there.
Please be more careful with your reviews.
